2. Forbidden in Mauritius

Pharmaceutical products introduction in Mauritius is subject to some restraints. Therefore, in case you are in possession of medicines, you must provide yourself with a prescription as a written proof.

Medicine and other banned products However, it is of great importance to know that the introduction of some medicines, like the Di-antalvic, is strictly forbidden.

Moreover, there are also other bans on imported products which shall be considered. All breaches of the Mauritian law will be severely punished:

  • Licence-less weapons.
  • Drugs and narcotics.
  • Drink Driving and Crime Drink Driving In case of any serious road accident, an Alco test will be made. The maximum tolerated level is 0.8g/l.

    Crime Mauritius is a safe destination with a low crime rate. Yet, do not walk by yourself in isolated regions, especially at night.
